Air tickets will no longer be a flat Rs
3,000 for cancellation charges for 'cheap' domestic air lines. Indian airlines
say their domestic cancellation charges will be "Rs 3,000 or base fare
plus fuel surcharge per passenger, whichever is lower." This will provide
relief to those who manage to buy cheap air tickets, mostly by buying in
advance, but ended up losing a lot of money while cancelling them if unable to
travel for some reason. However, domestic travelers, whose base fare and fuel
surcharges combined is more than Rs 3,000, will continue paying that as
cancellation fee.

Travelers Will No Longer Have To Pay Flat Rs 3000 For Cancelation Of Flight Tickets |
In a move that will add to the seasonal
joy, local carriers will never again charge Rs 3000 level cancelation of a
flight ticket. Rather than that level sum, aircrafts will now charge "Rs
3,000 or base admission in addition to fuel extra charge per traveler,
whichever is lower." This adjustment in lead came after aeronautics serve
Jayant Sinha voiced his worry over the level Rs 3,000 as cancelation expense.
He trusts that it is too high.
The DGCA or Directorate General of Civil
Aviation at that point kept in touch with the aircrafts requesting that they
give information on cancelation charges. As indicated by reports, the tenets
express that the cancelation charges can't be more than the total of the base
toll and fuel additional charge.
This will come as a help for travelers, the
majority of who book air tickets well ahead of time and wind up losing this
sizeable aggregate in the event that they can't travel. In any case, if the
base toll and the fuel additional charge add up to more than Rs 3,000,
travelers will wind up paying that sum.
The approach has now been changed as per
the DGCA run the show.
"We trust cancelation charges are on
the high side and grave for travelers. The Rs 3,000 expense is much of the time
more than the cost of the ticket itself. Our UDAN (sponsored local flying) plot
has topped charges at Rs 2,500 every hour of flying. These cancelation charges
should be brought once more into adjust," avionics serve Jayant Sinha
said.
Sinha has requested a survey of the sum
charged via aircrafts after the most recent climb in cancelation charges.
